Create a harassment complaint
Recording and tracking a harassment complaint incident and the subsequent steps taken to resolve the issue is an important HR responsibility. The Sparkrock 365 harassment complaints functionality provides the capability to record and register important details for any type of harassment complaint, including adding specific comments, dates, and the final resolution achieved.
To create a harassment complaint
Choose , enter harassment complaints, and then choose the related link.
The Harassment Complaints page opens.
On the action bar, choose New.
A new row appears.
In Employee No., specify the employee number of the employee who is registering the harassment complaint.
The Employee Name field is automatically populated.
In Complaint Type, specify the appropriate complaint type.
For information about how to create a harassment complaint type, see Set up harassment complaint types.
In HR Position, specify the HR position that the employee holds.
The Supervisor No. and Name fields are automatically populated with the employee’s primary manager’s number and name, based on the setup of the individual’s Employee Card page, but can be overwritten in the event that the supervisor that is involved is not the default one on the Employee Card page.
In Complaint Filed Date, specify the date on which the individual filed the harassment complaint.
In Status, specify the stage in which the harassment complaint currently resides.
In Brief Summary of Complaint, specify a description of the harassment complaint.
If a resolution has been reached and the investigation has been completed and closed, you can record that information. For more information, see Update a harassment complaint and Close a harassment complaint.
Add additional comments for a harassment complaint
If you want to add more detail to a harassment complaint, you can append comments to a harassment complaint record.
To add additional comments to a harassment complaint record
Choose , enter harassment complaints, and then choose the related link.
The Harassment Complaints page opens.
Select the harassment complaint for which you want to add additional comments, and then on the action bar, choose Comments.
The Comment Sheet page opens.
For each comment that you want to add, perform the following steps:
- On the action bar, choose New.
- In Comment, specify the details that you want to add.
