Calculate salary

Sparkrock 365 includes an HR Request Salary Calculator that calculates salary automatically. The salary that is calculated is based on how the following inputs are configured in Sparkrock 365:

  • Progression method code

  • Pay grade codes

  • Step codes

  • Minimum years experience

  • Seniority years

Enable the HR request salary calculator

To use the salary calculator, you must enable the salary calculator on the respective pay grid.

To enable the HR request salary calculator

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter pay grids, and then choose the related link.

    The Pay Grids page opens.

  2. On the pay grid row for which you want to enable the salary calculator, select the Enable Salary Calculator checkbox.

To calculate salary

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter hr requests, and then choose the related link.

    The HR Requests page opens.

  2. Select the HR request for which you want to calculate salary based on employee experience, and then on the action bar, choose Home > Details.

    The respective HR request details page opens.

  3. On the Payroll FastTab, in Amount, choose Review or update the value for Amount

    The HR Request Salary Calculator page opens.

  4. Specify or update the value for Pay Grade Code, and then choose OK.
