Create a Purchase Requisition
Sparkrock 365 includes the following methods that you can use to create a purchase requisition:
Create an initial purchase requisition
Create a purchase requisition as a copy of an existing purchase requisition
Create a purchase requisition from a purchase requisitions template
You can create a purchase requisition that includes a single vendor or you can create a purchase requisition that includes multiple vendors.
When creating a purchase requisition for fixed assets, additional steps are required.
To create a purchase requisition
Choose , enter purchase requisitions, and then choose the related link. Alternatively, on the Finance Department Manager role center navigation bar, choose Purchase Requisitions.
The Purchase Requisitions page opens.
On the action bar, choose New.
The Purchase Requisition page opens.
Specify values for fields as required.
Create a purchase requisition as a copy of an existing purchase requisition
When you create a purchase requisition, you can copy the details from another purchase requisition.
To create a purchase requisition that copies the details from another purchase requisition
Choose , enter purchase requisitions, and then choose the related link. Alternatively, on the Finance Department Manager role center navigation bar, choose Purchase Requisitions.
The Purchase Requisitions page opens.
On the action bar, choose New.
The Purchase Requisition page opens.
In PR Type specify the request type.
On the action bar, choose Home > Copy Document.
The Copy Finance Request Document page opens.
In Document Type, specify Finance Request.
In Document No., specify the document that you want to copy.
To include the header when copying the document, turn on Include Header.
To populate the document with the default values from the expense type or item, turn on Recalculate Lines.
To include internal and external comments from the source document, turn on Copy Comments.
Choose OK.
Create a purchase requisition from a template

Create a purchase requisition for a fixed asset
When you create a purchase requisition for a fixed asset, you must indicate that the expense line is related to a fixed asset acquisition. This indication notifies the purchasing agent that the expense line must be converted to a purchase order for the fixed asset that corresponds to the expense type that is specified in the purchase requisition.
To indicate to a purchasing agent that the requisition is related to a fixed asset
Choose , enter purchase requisitions, and then choose the related link. Alternatively, on the Finance Department Manager role center navigation bar, choose Purchase Requisitions.
The Purchase Requisitions page opens.
For the purchase requisition for which you want to indicate the requisition is related to a fixed asset, in the No. field, select the link that appears for the value.
The Purchase Requisition Template page opens.
In Type, specify Expense Type.
In No., specify the expense type number for the respective fixed asset.
To indicate to a purchasing agent that this expense line is related to a fixed asset acquisition, select the Fixed Asset Review checkbox.
Specify values for other fields as required.
