Set Up Annual Accruals to be Prorated Using Months
To support organizations that have 10 month, and 11 month calendars, for example, school boards, Sparkrock 365 provides the capability for annual accruals to be prorated using months.
To have Sparkrock 365 prorate annual accruals using months, you must perform some setup.
The following list describes the high level setup steps:
On the Advanced HR Setup page, Accrual FTE Date to Use must be equal to Accrual Year End.
On the HR Base Calendar Card page of the HR base calendar that is associated with the attendance plan, set up the Calendar Type field.
On the respective Cause of Absence Card pages, ensure that Calculate Accrual is set to Calculate Annual Accrual.
On the Attendance Plan page, perform the following steps:
- Ensure that the Start Day and Start Month are correct.
- On the row of the cause of absence code for which you want Sparkrock 365 to prorate annual accruals using months, select the Prorate Using Months checkbox.
To set up the Advanced HR Setup page for annual accruals that are to be prorated using months
Choose , enter advanced hr setup, and then choose the related link.
The Advanced HR Setup page opens.
On the Attendance Plans page, ensure that Accrual FTE Date to Use is set to Accrual Year End.
To set up the HR base calendar for annual accruals that are to be prorated using months
Choose , enter hr base calendars, and then choose the related link.
The HR Base Calendars page opens.
Select the HR base calendar that is associated with the attendance plan, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > Edit.
The HR Base Calendar Card page opens.
In Calendar Type, select 10-month Calendar or 11-month Calendar.
To set up a cause of absence for annual accruals that are to be prorated using months
Choose , enter causes of absence, and then choose the related link.
The Causes of Absence page opens.
Select the cause of absence for which you want Sparkrock 365 to prorate annual accruals using months, and then on the action bar, choose Edit.
The Cause of Absence Card page opens.
On the Accruals FastTab, ensure that Calculate Accrual is set to Calculate Annual Accrual.
To set up the attendance plan for annual accruals that are to be prorated using months
Choose , enter attendance plans, and then choose the related link.
The Attendance Plans page opens.
Select the attendance plan for which you want Sparkrock 365 to prorate annual accruals using months, and then on the action bar, choose Edit.
The Attendance Plans page opens.
On the General FastTab, in the Attendance Year section, ensure that the Start Day and Start Month are correct.
On the Attendance Plan Lines FastTab, on the row of the cause of absence code for which you want Sparkrock 365 to prorate annual accruals using months, select the Prorate Using Months checkbox.
