Release a budget set

When a budget set approval workflow is not enabled, to prevent changes to a budget set, you must release the budget set. When a budget set is released, the Status of the budget set changes to Approved. If changes to the budget set are required after the budget set has been released, the Status of the budget set must be changed to Open. For more information, see Reopen a Budget Set.

To release a budget set

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter g/l budget plans, and then choose the related link.

    The G/L Budget Plans page opens.

  2. Select the budget plan for which you want to release a budget set, and then on the action bar, choose G/L Budget Sets.

    The G/L Budget Sets page opens.

  3. Select the budget set that you want to release, and then on the action bar, choose Release.

    The Release action is disabled when a budget set approval workflow is enabled.

    The Status of the budget set changes to Approved.
