Validate mySparkrock Setup
To help you find the mySparkrock setup that does not pass validation, you can use the mySparkrock Setup Validation page.
On the mySparkrock Setup Validation page, you can view records that fail the following validations:
Company validations
- At least one company is configured to be externally available.
- Companies where the Externally Available checkbox is clear and to which mySparkrock user setups are linked.
Service user (MYSPARKROCK) validations
- User MYSPARKROCK exists with permission sets.
- mySparkrock user MYSPARKROCK exists and is linked to the MYSPARKROCK user in the Internal User ID.
- Payroll setup exists for the MYSPARKROCK user when the Payroll Setup page is configured or initiated.
- User is only assigned to companies that are externally available.
- User has on the mySparkrock User Card page, Blocked as Alternate turned on.
mySparkrock user (only active) validations
- mySparkrock users that are not linked to any company.
- Internal User ID is linked to only one mySparkrock user.
- Authentication email is valid where the value is not blank. For example, the validation ensures that the value includes an @, a period, and no spaces.
- Contact email is valid where the value is not blank.
- Users in Sparkrock 365 are not linked to a mySparkrock user.
mySparkrock user setup (only active) validations
- Contact email is valid where the value is not blank.
- When the HR Management extension is used, any mySparkrock user setup records are linked to an employee number, excluding the service account. At least one employee number exists in Sparkrock 365.
- Profiles are linked to all active users other than the MYSPARKROCK user.
- User has a User Profile Code.
- User has an Employee No..
- User has an Expense Vendor No.. The Expense Vendor No. is used for expense claims.
mySparkrock user profile validations
- At least one profile exists.
- All profiles have menu controls configured.
- The ADMIN user profile has a Default Home Page checkbox selected on the mySparkrock Menu Controls page.
mySparkrock solution setup validation
- mySparkrock URL field is not blank and a valid URL.
Job queue validations
- Notification Entry Dispatcher job queue entry has Recurring Job turned on.
- Notification Entry Dispatcher job queue entry is set up to run with the User ID of MYSPARKROCK.
- SRP Update Notif. User ID job queue entry is set up.
Language validation
- At least one language is configured.

Depending on the issue, manual troubleshooting of mySparkrock setup issues may still be required. For example, if there is a typo in a mySparkrock user's Authentication Email field, but the email address is in a valid format, the record does not appear on the mySparkrock Setup Validation page and the user will not be able to log in.
Open mySparkrock Validation Setup
The mySparkrock Validation Setup page can be opened from the following locations:
Tell Me
mySparkrock Solution Setup page
Security Administrator role center
For example, to open the mySparkrock Validation Setup page from Tell Me, choose , enter mysparkrock validation setup, and then choose the related link.
The mySparkrock Validation Setup page opens.
Open Related Record
On the mySparkrock Validation Setup page, you can open the related record to view more details about the record that failed validation. You can then proceed with making the required changes to have the record pass validation.
To view more details of a record that failed validation
Choose , enter mysparkrock validation setup, and then choose the related link.
The mySparkrock Validation Setup page opens.
Select the record that you want to view, and then on the action bar, choose Open Related Record.
The respective page opens and you can view the details for the record that failed validation.
