Provincial Benefits Data Exchange Worksheet Errors and Warnings
Before Sparkrock 365 creates a provincial benefits data exchange export file, the respective worksheet data is validated against the data exchange definition that is associated with the export. Mandatory fields, mapping, length, and format are defined in the data exchange definition. If any errors exist, the creation of the export file is prevented. Validations are performed when you try to create an export file or can be set up to be performed in real time.
The Background Error Check setting on the Benefit Data Exchange Batches page determines whether real time validations are performed and how you can view errors. When the Background Error Check checkbox is clear, after you try to create a file, errors and warnings appear on the Error Messages page. When the Background Error Check checkbox is selected, on the OTIP Worksheet page, on the Worksheet Check FactBox, you can view errors and warnings for each line in real time.
The following list includes some examples of validations that result in an error:
Sparkrock 365 values that are missing for mandatory fields in the export file.
Sparkrock 365 values that have an incorrect format in the export file.
Sparkrock 365 values that have an incorrect length in the export file.
The following list includes some examples of validations that result in a warning:
Sparkrock 365 values that cannot be transformed to the export file format.
Sparkrock 365 values that have been truncated in the export file.
