Process a Compensation Journal Comparison Analysis
The Comparison Analysis action provides the capability for you to compare the data for a selected pay cycle to the data for another pay cycle. The Comparison Analysis action can be run anytime. For example, you can compare an unposted payroll to a posted payroll.
When you use this action, you can filter on a specific employee or a specific payroll code. Also, you can filter on differences between pay cycle amounts and between pay cycle hours. After you enter a filter, the data that is displayed updates automatically.
Typically, the data for the current pay period is compared to the data for the previous pay period. Another common example is to compare the data for the current pay period to the data for the pay period from the previous year.
