Load Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Export File Data
The Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) HRIS export process utilizes the OTIP Export page as a workspace for employee change data that is to be sent to OTIP.
The OTIP export produces records in the workspace based on the data that is saved in the archive versus actual data from the employee and active employee assignment records. If the load data process detects a change between the current data and what was previously reported, an entry is created in the workspace for the employee.
To load export file data
Choose , enter otip export, and then choose the related link.
The OTIP Export page opens.
On the action bar, choose Home > Load Data.
The HRIS Export OTIP page opens.
In Employee No. Filter, to limit the number of lines that are exported, specify one or more employee numbers.
In Benefit ID Filter, to limit the number of lines that are exported, specify one or more benefit IDs.
In From Date, specify the last date to consider for changes that must be reported for the employee.
In To Date, specify the first date to consider for changes that must be reported for the employee.
In Export Type, specify whether this is an initial export of data or an incremental export of data.
When first creating the export file, specify Initial. This forms the base archive record that the future Incremental files are based on.
Choose OK.
Data is populated in the OTIP Export page.
Errors are indicated in the No. of Errors column.
To view only lines with errors, on the action bar, choose Filter > Show Only Lines with Errors.
To view the related reported errors for a record, select the link that appears for a No. of Errors column value.
The Error Messages page opens.
To open the related record and if possible, fix the issue, on the action bar, choose Open Related Record.
Corrected errors are not cleared or reset until you reload the lines.
