Export and Import Budget Sets
To facilitate budget processing and analysis, you can export budget set data to Excel. When you export budget set data to Excel, you can specify certain parameters to filter the data that is exported. Also, you can perform an export to Excel to create a blank template that can be populated. After data is added or updated in Excel, the data can be imported to Sparkrock 365.
To export a budget set to Excel
Choose , enter g/l budget plans, and then choose the related link.
The G/L Budget Plans page opens.
Select the budget plan for which you want to export budget set data Excel, and then on the action bar, choose G/L Budget Sets.
The G/L Budget Sets page opens.
Select the budget set for which you want to export budget set data to Excel, and then on the action bar, choose Home > Edit Budget set.
The Budget page opens and the Budget Matrix is displayed.
On the action bar, choose Export to Excel.
The Export Budget to Excel page opens.
Specify values for fields as required, and then choose OK.
On the Filter: G/L Budget Entry FastTab, the default filters are based on the budget set setup. You can change these filters, but you cannot export data that is outside of the budget set setup. However, you can add filters to export a subset of budget set entries for a respective budget set.
To import a budget set from Excel
Choose , enter g/l budget plans, and then choose the related link.
The G/L Budget Plans page opens.
Select the budget plan for which you want to import budget set data from Excel, and then on the action bar, choose G/L Budget Sets.
The G/L Budget Sets page opens.
Select the budget set for which you want to import budget set data from Excel, and then on the action bar, choose Home > Edit Budget set.
The Budget page opens and the Budget Matrix is displayed.
On the action bar, choose Budget > Import from Excel.
The Import Budget from Excel page opens.
Specify values as required, and then choose OK.
A dialog box appears and displays the following text:
Upload: Excel Files (.xlx), All Files (.)
Choose Choose.
Locate, and then select the file that you want to import.
Choose Open.
A dialog box appears.
To complete the import of data, choose Yes.
