Create a Reporting and Analytics Report

To eliminate the need to support multiple financial analysis solutions, Sparkrock plans to retire the Reporting and Analytics extension in 2025. Sparkrock will communicate more details regarding timing as soon as that information becomes available. Sparkrock recommends that you start using the Financial Analysis extension before 2025. For more information, see Financial Analysis.
After you have set up a column definition for reporting and analytics, you can create a reporting and analytics report.
To create a reporting and analytics report
Choose , enter reporting and analytics reports, and then choose the related link.
The Reporting and Analytics Reports page opens.
On the action bar, choose New.
The Reporting and Analytics Report page opens.
On the General FastTab, perform the following steps:
- In Name, specify a name to represent this reporting and analytics report.
- In Column Definition, specify the column definition that you want to use for this reporting and analytics report.
- In Show as Lines, specify the row definition that you want to display on the Reporting and Analytics Overview page, on the Reporting and Analytics Matrix.
- In Date Filter, specify the dates that are to be used to filter the data on the Reporting and Analytics Overview page, on the Reporting and Analytics Matrix.
On the Reporting Filter FastTab, perform the following steps:
- In G/L Account Filter, specify the general ledger accounts for which you want to filter the data on the Reporting and Analytics Overview page, on the Reporting and Analytics Matrix.
- In the shortcut dimension fields, specify values to filter report data as required.
Learn more at Apply Dimension Filters to a Reporting and Analytics Report. - To prevent report users from drilling down to the underlying entries that comprise the amounts that appear on the report, turn on Prevent Drill Down.

To have a filter display blank values, specify two single quotes, for example, ''. Also, when Show as Lines is set to Account Set and you want to have account set indentation and style applied to the report, you must specify '' on all filters.On the Manager User FastTab, specify which filters are to be ignored for users who have the Finance Department Manager or HR Department Manager role and run this report.
When these fields are turned on, the respective mySparkrock user security filter is ignored. Otherwise, when these fields are turned off, the respective mySparkrock user security filter is applied in addition to the report filters.
