Copy Data to Populate a Budget Set
After creating a budget set, instead of having to start from the beginning, you can copy a budget from a prior year to use as a starting point for the budget set.
When setting up the copy parameters, you can specify filters so that the new budget set includes all budgeted amounts or a combination of actual results and budgeted amounts, for example:
Q1 forecast is a copy of prior year, Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 budgeted amounts
Q2 forecast is a copy of Q1 actual results, plus Q2, Q3, and Q4 budgeted amounts
Q3 forecast is a copy of Q1 and Q2 actual results, plus Q3 and Q4 budgeted amounts
When you copy a budget, the budget set filters are applied to the data that is being copied.
