Getting started
The following sections describe the major components of the Ed HRP interface.
Top bar
The top bar includes the following components:
Displays the current version of Ed HRP.
Displays the environment to which you are logged in.
Displays the system date.
Opens the Employee Dashboard.
Opens a list of notifications. For example, you can view the status of a report that you have run.
Opens the Ed HRP online help.
Displays the user and opens the Profile menu.
Displays the language and opens the Language menu.
Profile menu
From the Profile menu, you can navigate to Employee Personal Information and security pages, and sign out of the application.
Language menu
From the Language menu, you can specify whether Ed HRP pages are to be displayed in English or French.
Left menu
To navigate the Ed HRP application, you can use the left menu.
The left menu includes the following tabs:
HR
Payroll
Employee
System

Some tabs may be hidden based on your security permissions. If a tab does not appear, you do not have access to that functionality. To request access, contact your system administrator.
HR tab
You can use the HR tab to view and perform HR functions.
Payroll tab
You can use the Payroll tab to view and perform payroll functions.
Employee tab
You can use the Employee tab to view and perform employee functions.
System tab
You can use the System tab to view and configure security, system settings, and tools.
Pages
On pages, you can view and edit various information and perform actions.
Fields that are highlighted in yellow are mandatory.
Export
Various pages include an Export button that you can use to export data that appears on the page to Excel.
