Turn on or turn off the expense attributes setup

As required, you can allow or disallow the setup of expense attributes.

Allow expense attributes setup

When the setup of expense attributes is allowed:

• Attribute Object Setups page:

  • A row with the Table Name of Expense Type appears. You can select the related No. of Attributes link to open the Attributes - SRF Expense Type page where you can define the expense attribute fields.

• Expense Types page:

  • The Attributes action appears on the action bar.

• Expense Type Card page:

  • The Attributes action appears on the action bar.

  • Expense attributes appear in the Item Attributes FactBox.

• Purchases & Payables Setup page:

  • On the Expense Claims FastTab, the Attributes Setup section appears.

• Expense Claim page:

  • The Attributes action appears on the Lines FastTab .

  • The Line Attributes FactBox appears.

  • The expense attribute fields appear.

To turn on expense attributes setup

1. Select Search (Alt+Q) , enter user setup, and then choose the related link.

   The User Setup page opens.

2. On the row of the user for which you want to allow the setup of expense attributes, select the Allow Setup of Expense Attributes checkbox.

Disallow expense attributes setup

When the setup of expense attributes is disallowed:

• Attribute Object Setups page:

  • A row with the Table Name of Expense Type is removed. The user cannot access any the Attributes - SRF Expense Type page.

• Expense Types page:

  • The Attributes action is removed from the action bar.

• Expense Type Card page:

  • The Attributes action is removed from the action bar.

  • Expense attributes are removed from the Item Attributes FactBox.

• Purchases & Payables Setup page:

  • On the Expense Claims FastTab, the Attributes Setup section is removed.

• Expense Claim page:

  • The Attributes action is removed from the Lines FastTab .

  • The Line Attributes FactBox is removed.

  • The expense attribute fields are hidden.

To turn off expense attributes setup

1. Select Search (Alt+Q) , enter user setup, and then choose the related link.

   The User Setup page opens.

2. On the row of the user for which you want to disallow the setup of expense attributes, clear the Allow Setup of Expense Attributes checkbox.
