Set Up Weekly Work Schedules
In your organization, you may have employees that work a different number of hours per day, for example:
Tuesday to Thursday, 8 hours per day
Monday to Thursday, 8 hours per day, and on Friday, 4 hours per day
Monday and Thursday, 10 hours per day, and on Wednesday and Friday, 4 hours per day
To ensure that the Quantity on an absence request for these employees is calculated correctly, for these employees, set up weekly work schedules.
Note
Note:
Scenarios where an employee works a flexible number of hours per day, but must work a specific number of hours per week is not supported. For example, an employee who must work 21.75 hours per week, but can distribute that however they want, such as working 3 days one week and working 5 half-days another week.
Weekly work schedules can be assigned to an attendance plan and an employee attendance plan. These schedules can be different. A weekly work schedule that is assigned on an Employee Attendance Plan page takes precedence over a weekly work schedule that is assigned on an Attendance Plan page. If you update a weekly work schedule on an attendance plan, you must specify whether to update the weekly work schedule for all employees with this plan or to update only employees that have the same weekly work schedule as on the attendance plan.
