Set up time entry activities
On the Time Entry Activities page, you can set up a list of activity codes that can be assigned to time entry unit positions. Each time entry unit position must have at least one activity code assigned. At least one time entry activity must be defined.
To create a time entry activity
Choose
, enter time entry activities, and then choose the related link.
The Time Entry Activities page opens.
On the action bar, choose New.
A new row appears.
In Code, specify a code that represents the type of activity being performed by employees.
In Description, specify a description for the the activity.
To indicate that this activity is the default time entry activity, select the Default Activity checkbox.
Only one activity can be selected as the default value. Selecting a time entry activity to be the default activity causes Sparkrock 365 to set this activity as the primary when added as a time entry unit position activity. Having a primary unit position activity causes the associated Hours per Day value to default into the time line.
In HR Pay Code, specify which HR Pay Code is to be used for the employee earnings when the timelines are brought into the compensation journal.
In Comp. Time Code, specify the code that represents the cause of absence that is to be used to store the hours worked for future time off.
The hours stored are not paid immediately. When the hours stored are paid, the hours use the HR Pay Code that is associated with the related cause of absence record. This field is only used with the time compensatory time functionality.
To instruct Sparkrock 365 to apply the multiplier from the HR pay code when storing the hours for future time off, select the Use Multiplier for Comp. Hours checkbox. For example, 1 hour of overtime must create an accrual entry of 1.5 hours. This field is only used with the compensatory time functionality.
