Set up a tax group
A tax group represents a group of inventory items or resources that are subject to identical tax terms. For example, you can set up a tax group for taxable items and another for nontaxable items. You must assign tax group codes to inventory items and general ledger accounts.
To set up a tax group
Choose
, enter tax groups, and then choose the related link.
The Tax Groups page opens.
For each tax group that you want to set up, perform the following steps:
- On the action bar, choose New. A new row appears.
- In Code, specify a code to represent the tax group.
- In Description, specify a description for the tax group.
