Set Up Schedule Errors and Warnings
Sparkrock 365 provides the capability for you to configure the shift errors and warnings that Sparkrock 365 displays when users fill shifts where the values on the shift exceed specified thresholds. For example, you may want Sparkrock 365 to display a warning when an employee is scheduled to work more than 8 hours in a day. You perform this configuration on the Schedule Setup and Warning Exceptions by Position pages.
Set up Errors and Warnings on the Schedule Setup page
When a user specifies threshold values for warning fields, such as Daily Max Hours Warning on the Schedule Setup page, and the values on a shift exceed those threshold values, Sparkrock 365 does not prevent a scheduler from performing scheduling tasks, such as creating the shift, filling the shift, making the shift available in mySparkrock, or publishing the shift. The reason Sparkrock 365 does not prevent these tasks is because the warnings are specific to an employee. When a user fills the shift, which involves assigning the shift to an employee, Sparkrock 365 performs the validation and if the threshold value is exceeded based on the employee data, Sparkrock 365 updates the Validation Status field on the Shift Card page from Validated to Warnings.
A user can view the errors and warnings for the respective shift on the Shift Card page, on the Errors and Warnings FactBox. Sparkrock 365 also displays balance and threshold information for a pay period on the Shift Card page, in the Employee Information FactBox. You can select the links in the Employee Information FactBox to view the respective shift information.

Warning exceptions by positions
Sparkrock 365 provides the capability for you to configure the warnings that Sparkrock 365 displays when users fill shifts based on the employee's position. You configure this functionality on the Warning Exceptions by Position page. This functionality is useful when you have specific positions for which you want Sparkrock 365 to override the validations that are based on the setup on the Schedule Setup page. For example, you have part-time employees who are required to work a maximum of 5 hours a day.
