Set Up Progression Methods
Sparkrock 365 provides the capability to process salary progression. For example, depending on the setup, Sparkrock 365 considers factors such as experience years, pay grid, pay grade, and progression steps, and then determines whether an employee is eligible to progress to the next salary level.
To set up progression methods
Choose , enter progression methods, and then choose the related link.
The Progression Methods page opens.
For each progression method that you want to create, perform the following steps:
- On the action bar, choose New.
- In Code, specify a code to represent the progression method.
- In Description, specify a description for the progression method.
- Specify values for other fields as required.
- On the action bar, choose New.
Assign seniority groups to a progression method
After a progression method has been created, seniority groups can be assigned to the progression method.
To assign a progression method to a seniority group
Choose , enter progression methods, and then choose the related link.
The Progression Methods page opens.
Select the progression method that you want to assign to a seniority group, and then on the action bar, choose Seniority Groups.
The Progression Method Seniority Groups page opens.
For each seniority group that you want to assign to a progression method, perform the following steps:
- In Seniority Group Code, specify a code that represents a seniority group.
- (Optional) In Experience Seniority Type Code, specify which seniority type is to be used to determine experience when running progression and the salary calculator.
