Set Up the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) Setup page
Before you run the Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) Human Resources Information System (HRIS) export, you must set up the OTIP Setup page.
To set up the OTIP Setup page
Choose , enter otip setup, and then choose the related link.
The OTIP Setup page opens.
In HR Company Code, specify the code that OTIP provides to you.
The code must be at least 6 characters long.
This field is required when OTIP processes the file.
In Benefit Plan Code, specify the benefit plan that pertains to OTIP.
In Cycle No., specify the cycle number.
Cycle numbers are used in the header of the file to ensure proper processing order. This number automatically increases at every successful file extraction and resets to 001 after cycle 999.
When you have completed testing and you are ready to submit production files to OTIP, turn on Production.
When Production is turned on, the file name that is generated has a prefix of PROD. Otherwise, the file has a prefix of TEST.
In Max Work Period Factor, specify the work period that represents a year.
The value in this field is used in calculating the actual salary for the hourly employees and helps differentiate from employees on a 10 month cycle.
In Union Codes, specify the one or more union codes for the OTIP benefit eligible unions.
If an employee does not have an active assignment with one of the union codes that are specified here, the employee is not included in the export.
