OTIP requires the employees payroll ID numbers to be numeric with a maximum length of 20. You can choose how the payroll ID is generated for this integration. The following list includes information about the allowable options:
- Integer from Employee No.: Removes any non-numeric characters from the employee number to obtain an integer value which is used as the ID source number when filling a claim with the benefit provider.
- Employee No.: Specifies to use your full personal employee number when submitting a claim with your benefit provider. Only use this option when your employee numbers are numeric. OTIP does not access non-numeric employee numbers.
- Manually Entered: Allows you to manually enter a string of characters, numbers, or both. This option is not recommended for OTIP. It can result in duplicate numbers.
- No. Series: Allows you to configure a numeric number series that specifies unique payroll IDs for this integration. If you choose this option, you must select a value in No. Series.
In Externally Managed, select Not Managed.
