Reporting and analytics report overview

To eliminate the need to support multiple financial analysis solutions, Sparkrock plans to retire the Reporting and Analytics extension in 2025. Sparkrock will communicate more details regarding timing as soon as that information becomes available. Sparkrock recommends that you start using the Financial Analysis extension before 2025. The Reporting and Analytics Report Overview page displays an overview of a reporting and analytics report.
On the General FastTab, you can change various settings, such as column definitions and show as lines, to dynamically change the information that appears on the Reporting and Analytics Matrix FastTab.
On the Reporting and Analytics Matrix FastTab, you can compare budget versus actual financial information in real-time based on the specified row and column definitions. Users can view variances or differences, and when permitted, can drill down to the underlying records.
On the FiltersFastTab, you can specify how the data in the report is to be filtered by general ledger accounts as well as how the data in the report is to be filtered by the shortcut dimensions that are set up on the General Ledger Setup page.
Show blocked lines
You can specify whether the Reporting and Analytics Matrix FastTab displays lines for which the value is blocked. For example, when on the Reporting and Analytics Report Overview page, Show Blocked Lines is turned off, and on the G/L Account Card page of a general ledger account, Blocked is turned on, a line for this general ledger account does not appear in the matrix. Alternatively, when Show Blocked Lines is turned on, a line appears for this general ledger account in the matrix.
To view a reporting and analytics report overview
Choose
, enter reporting and analytics reports, and then choose the related link.The Reporting and Analytics Reports page opens.
Select the reporting and analytics report for which you want to view the respective reporting and analytics overview, and then on the action bar, choose Overview.

Drill Down to underlying records
From the Reporting and Analytics Report Overview page, provided that drill down is permitted, you can drill down to underlying records.
To permit drill down on reporting and analytics underlying records
Choose
, enter reporting and analytics reports, and then choose the related link.The Reporting and Analytics Reports page opens.
Select the reporting and analytics report for which you want to permit drilling down to underlying records, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > Edit.

On the Reporting Filter FastTab, ensure that Prevent Drill Down is turned off.
To drill down to reporting and analytics underlying records
Choose
, enter reporting and analytics reports, and then choose the related link.The Reporting and Analytics Reports page opens.
Select the reporting and analytics report for which you want to view the respective reporting and analytics overview, and then on the action bar, choose Overview.
The Reporting and Analytics Overview page opens.
To drill down to the respective underlying records, provided that drill down is permitted, on the Reporting and Analytics Matrix FastTab, select the links that appear for the values in the one or more columns.
