Create a copy of a fixed asset

To create one or more fixed assets, you can copy an existing fixed asset.

To create a copy of a fixed asset

Choose , enter fixed assets, and then choose the related link.

The Fixed Assets page opens.
Select the fixed asset for which you want to create a copy, and then on the action bar, choose Actions > Copy Fixed Asset.

The Copy Fixed Asset page opens.

Copy from FA No. is automatically populated with the fixed asset that you selected.
In No. of Copies, specify the number of new fixed assets that you want to create.
In First FA No., specify the number for the first fixed asset.

If you are going to turn on Use FA No. Series, you can leave First FA No. blank. If you are going to turn off Use FA No. Series and the number of copies is greater than 1, the First FA No. field must include a number, for example FA00045.
If you want the new fixed asset to have a number from the number series that is specified on the Fixed Asset Setup page, in Fixed Asset Nos., turn on Use FA No. Series.
Choose OK.

One or more fixed assets are created as a copy of the selected fixed asset.

You can now open the one or more fixed asset cards and make changes as required.
