Apply dimension filters to a reporting and analytics report

To eliminate the need to support multiple financial analysis solutions, Sparkrock plans to retire the Reporting and Analytics extension in 2025. Sparkrock will communicate more details regarding timing as soon as that information becomes available. Sparkrock recommends that you start using the Financial Analysis extension before 2025. On the Reporting and Analytics Filter page, you can specify dimension filters for the respective reporting and analytics report. Values that are specified on the Reporting and Analytics Report page, on the Reporting Filter FastTab, appear on the Reporting and Analytics Filter page. Similarly, values that are specified on the Reporting and Analytics Filter page appear on the Reporting and Analytics Report page, on the Reporting Filter FastTab, provided that the values are from the 8 shortcut dimensions that can be set up on the General Ledger Setup page.

The Reporting and Analytics Filter page provides the additional capability to filter reporting and analytics data for dimensions that are not part of the 8 shortcut dimensions that can be set up on the General Ledger Setup page.

To apply dimension filters to a reporting and analytics report

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter reporting and analytics reports, and then choose the related link.

  2. Select the reporting and analytics report for which you want to apply dimension filters, and then on the action bar, choose Filter.

    The Reporting and Analytics Filter page opens.

  3. For each dimension filter that you want to create, perform the following steps:

    1. On the action bar, choose New.
      A new row appears.
    2. In Dimension Code, specify the code that represents the dimension that you want to filter by.
    3. In Dimension Value Filter, specify the code that represents the dimension value that you want to filter by.

  4. Choose Close.
