Set Up Human Resource Units of Measure

To configure causes of absence, users first need to configure the HR units of measure correctly to a calculation type, so that when they select a unit of measure the calculation type defaults to what is configured on the Human Resources Units of Measure page.

To set up the human resource units of measure

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter human resource units of measure, and then choose the related link.

  2. Depending on whether you are configuring an existing unit of measure or creating a unit of measure, perform one of the following procedures:

    • To configure an existing unit of measure, in Qty. Per Unit of Measure, specify how many of the unit of measure, for example, hours, goes into each code. For example, if the unit of measure is Hour, specify how many hours are in each day.
    • To create a unit of measure, in the action bar, choose New, and then specify the unit of measure Codeand Qty. Per Unit of Measure.
