Set up Human Resources Information System (HRIS) export format strings

Format strings are unique to an HRIS export and are meant to provide an easy to understand method of defining the formatting of export fields in export files, as specified by the vendor’s export specifications.

Note:
Typically, a Sparkrock 365 representative is responsible for implementing new export strings. If required, the list is editable, and you can define new strings.

Format Strings are automatically populated in Sparkrock 365 and can be refreshed or repaired.

To set up the HRIS Export Format Strings page

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter hris export format strings, and then choose the related link.

    The HRIS Export Format Strings page opens.

  2. To add an export string, on the action bar, choose New.

    A new row appears.

  3. Specify values for the Field Data Type, Code, and Description.

To refresh or repair format strings

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter application area setup, and then choose the related link.

    The Application Area Setup page opens.

  2. On the HR Management FastTab, ensure that ONE-T (HRIS) is turned on.

  3. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter hris exports, and then choose the related link.

    The HRIS Exports page opens.

  4. On the action bar, choose HRIS Export Reset Definitions.

    A dialog box appears.

  5. Select Reset Definitions to Default or Repair Definitions, and then choose OK.
