Set Up the Employee Full Name Format

To meet organizational requirements, Sparkrock 365 provides the capability for you to choose the format of the Employee Full Name field that appears throughout Sparkrock 365.

The following list describes the various Employee Full Name field format options:

  • First + Middle + Last : Sparkrock uses the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card page.

  • First + Last : Sparkrock uses the First Name and Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card page.

  • Preferred First + Middle + Last : Sparkrock uses the Preferred First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card page.

  • Preferred First + Last : Sparkrock uses the Preferred First Name and Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card page.

  • Preferred First + Preferred Middle + Preferred Last : Sparkrock uses the Preferred First Name, Preferred Middle Name, and Preferred Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card page.

  • Preferred First + Preferred Last : Sparkrock uses the Preferred First Name and Preferred Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card page.

If you choose one of the preferred name formats and in the event that the Preferred Name, Preferred Middle Name, or Preferred Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card are blank, Sparkrock 365 automatically populates the Employee Full Name field and the name fields on the mySparkrock User Setup Card with the values in the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields on the respective Employee Card.

To set up the employee full name format

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter advanced hr setup, and then choose the related link.

    The Advanced HR Setup page opens.

  2. On the General FastTab, in Employee Full Name Format, specify the format that you want Sparkrock 365 to use for the Employee Full Name field throughout Sparkrock 365.

    When you change the value of the Employee Full Name Format field and there are existing employee records, Sparkrock 365 displays a confirmation dialog box that has the following text:

    There are existing employee records found. Changing this value will update all existing employee full names to the new format. Are you sure you want to continue?

    If you choose Yes, Sparkrock 365 updates the Employee Full Name field for every employee record based on the new format that you selected. Also, Sparkrock 365 automatically updates the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields on the mySparkrock User Setup Card page.
