Set Up Dimension Mapping for HR Deduction Codes with the Type of Earning

You can set up Sparkrock 365 to perform dimension mapping for HR deduction codes with a Type of Earning. After you complete the setup, Sparkrock 365 performs the dimension mapping during payroll processing.

To set up dimension mapping for HR deduction codes with the Type of Earning

  1. To set up the HR deduction code, perform the following steps:

    1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter hr deduction codes, and then choose the related link.
      The HR Deduction Codes page opens.
    2. To create an HR deduction code, on the action bar, choose New.
      A new row appears.
    3. In Code, specify the code that is to represent the HR deduction.
    4. In Type, specify Earning.
    5. In Employee External ID and Employer External ID fields, specify the related payroll code for this HR deduction.
    6. Specify values for other fields as required.

  2. To set up the dimension mapping for the HR deduction code that you just created, perform the following steps:

    1. On the action bar, choose Related > Dimension Mapping.
      The Dimension Mapping page opens.
    2. To complete the dimension mapping, specify values for fields.

  3. To set up payroll calculations, perform the following steps:

    1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter payroll calculations, and then choose the related link.
      The Payroll Calculations page opens.
    2. Select the code for which you want to add payroll calculation lines, and then on the action bar, choose Setup > Lines.
      The Payroll Calculation Lines page opens.
    3. To create a payroll calculation line, on the action bar, choose New.
      A new row appears.
    4. In Payroll Code, specify the payroll code that you specified on the HR deduction code that you created.
    5. In Formula, specify PROCESS PROCEDURE TABLE.
    6. Specify values for other fields as required.

  4. To set up a payroll process procedure, perform the following steps:

    1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter payroll process procedures, and then choose the related link.
      The Payroll Process Procedures page opens.
    2. To create a payroll process procedure for which you can specify the payroll code that you specified on the HR deduction code that you created, on the action bar, choose New.
      The Process Procedure Header page opens.
    3. Specify values for fields as required.

  5. To set up the payroll code, perform the following steps:

    1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter payroll codes, and then choose the related link.
      The Payroll Codes page opens.
    2. Select the payroll code for which you want to specify the payroll code that you specified on the HR deduction code that you created, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > Edit.
      The Payroll Code Setup Card page opens.
    3. On the Payroll Code FastTab, in Process Procedure Code, specify the payroll process procedure that you created.
    4. On the Earnings Setup FastTab, in Copy Expense Allocation, specify the earnings code for which you want Sparkrock 365 to match the expense allocation lines that are associated with this payroll code.

To view the dimension mapping results for expense allocation during payroll processing

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter payroll processing list, and then choose the related link.

    The Payroll Processing List page opens.

  2. Select the payroll processing record for which you want to view the dimension mapping results, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.

    The Payroll Processing page opens.

  3. On the Lines FastTab, select the record for which you want to view the dimension mapping results, and then on the FastTab action bar, choose Manage > Payroll Expense Allocation.

    The Expense Allocation page opens and you can view the results of the dimension mapping.

To view the dimension mapping results that are to occur during payroll processing posting

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter payroll processing list, and then choose the related link.

    The Payroll Processing List page opens.

  2. Select the payroll processing record for which you want to view the dimension mapping results, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.

    The Payroll Processing page opens.

  3. On the action bar, choose Actions > Posting > Preview Posting.

    The Posting Preview page opens.

  4. On the row that displays G/L Entry, select the link that appears in the No. of Entries column.

    The G/L Entries Preview page opens and you can view the results of the dimension mapping.
