Standard units

On the respective HR Position Card of an HR position, you can specify whether Sparkrock 365 is to Calculate Standard Units.

The Calculate Standard Units field specifies whether Sparkrock 365 is to add standard hours or days to the compensation journal for this HR position.

This feature applies only to assignments with Pay Type of Hourly and Per Diem.

To specify that you want Sparkrock 365 to calculate standard units

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter hr positions, and then choose the related link.

    The HR Positions page opens.

  2. Select the HR position for which you want Sparkrock 365 to calculate standard units, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > Edit.

    The HR Position Card page opens.

  3. Turn on Calculate Standard Units.

Loading lines into the compensation journal

When you load lines into the compensation journal, you can specify that you want Sparkrock 365 to not load standard units, load standard units by week, or load standard units by day.

To load standard units into the compensation journal

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter compensation journal, and then choose the related link.

    The Compensation Journal page opens.

  2. Specify values for Batch Name and Pay Cycle Period, and then on the action bar, choose Load Lines.

    The Compensation Journal Load page opens.

  3. In Load Standard Units, specify Load Standard Units by Week or Load Standard Units by Day.

  4. Specify values for other fields as required.

  5. Choose OK.
