Set up work status codes

For Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) exports, the work status codes and the benefit full-time equivalent (FTE) are used to determine the benefits eligibility of the members as well as any applicable cost sharing. The values are provided by OTIP in their mapping guide.

For the Ontario Non-Union Education Trust (ONE-T) export, you must set up the new ONE-T work statuses that are provided by the Cowan Insurance Group. As per Cowan, the codes that are different are related to re-instatement and termination. You can find the full list in Cowan's specification, in Appendix 9.1.

To create work status codes

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter work statuses, and then choose the related link.

    The Work Statuses page opens.

  2. On the action bar, choose New.

    A new row appears.

  3. In Code, specify a code to represent a work status.

  4. In Description, specify a description for the work status.
