Set up a member plan for Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP)

Before creating an Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) export, to identify the plan for which each member is eligible, you must set up the member plan.

Eligibility definitions of each plan are provided by Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) in their mapping guide which is specific for each board.

To create a member plan for OTIP

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter member plans, and then choose the related link.

    The Member Plans page opens.

  2. On the action bar, choose New.

    A new row appears.

  3. In Code, specify a code to represent the member plan.

  4. In Description, specify a description to represent the member plan.

  5. In Export Code, specify a code.

    The export code is only used in the OTIP Export report when the member plan code exceeds 2 characters.
