Set up location classes for Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP)

Before creating an Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) export, you must set up location classes. The location class identifies within the employer group or trust to which class the member belongs. The values are provided by OTIP in their mapping guide.

To create location classes for OTIP

  1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter location classes, and then choose the related link.

    The Location Classes page opens.

  2. On the action bar, choose New.

    A new row appears.

  3. In Code, specify a code to represent the location class.

  4. In Description, specify a description for the location class.

  5. In Plan Code, specify the code that represents the member plan that is to be associated with this member class.
