    Set up confidential information

    You can set up codes to track certain types of confidential information, for example, disciplinary, layoff details, bonus, stock options, or other compensation details. After the codes have been set up, you can assign the codes to each employee. This functionality ensures that the confidential information can only be viewed by users who have permission to view the Confidential Information page for the employee.

    To create confidential codes

    1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter confidential, and then choose the related link.

      The Confidential page opens.

    2. In Code, specify a code to represent the confidential information.

    3. In Description, specify a description for the confidential information.

    Assign a confidential code to an employee

    1. Choose Lightbulb that opens the Tell Me feature., enter employees, and then choose the related link.

      The Employees page opens.

    2. Select the employee for which you want to assign a confidential information code, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > Edit.

      The Employee Card page opens.

    3. On the action bar, choose Related > Human Resources > Confidential Information.

      The Confidential Information page opens.

    4. On the action bar, choose New.

      A new row appears.

    5. In Confidential Code, specify the code that represents the confidential information that you want to assign.
