Update W4 setting flag to Mark Use Update W-4
On the Payroll Setup page, on the US Setup FastTab, this release adds a US Updated W-4 field.
When US Updated W-4 is turned on, Sparkrock Impact automatically turns on Use Updated W-4 on the Federal WH Card page if a Fed WH by Effective Date is specified.
New process procedure options
This release introduces the following process procedure options:
Emp. Yr. Pay cycle No.: Counts the number of pay cycles an employee is paid. If an employee is not paid for a pay cycle, Sparkrock Impact does not count the pay cycle.
Annualize based on Actual Pay Cycles: This procedure annualizes based on the actual number of pay cycles that are defined. This procedure is used instead of calculated pay cycles procedure. This procedure is primarily used in Canada, for example, 53 periods per year.
Divide Based on Actual Pay Cycles: This procedure divides based on the actual number of pay cycles that are defined. This procedure is used instead of the calculated number of pay cycles procedure. This procedure is primarily used in Canada, for example, 53 periods per year.
Yr. Pay Cycle No.: This procedure counts the number of pay cycles in a year if an employee is paid or not.
US overtime update required for 2025 W2
To support 2025 W2 changes, this release introduces a US overtime update. The update includes adding an overtime premium ledger along with additional features and setup.
On the Payroll Ledger Entries page, this release adds an Overtime Premium Ledger action that you can use to open the Overtime Ledger page.
On the Overtime Ledger page, you can use load or reset the overtime ledger with the Load/Reset Overtime Ledger action.
On the Payroll Code Setup Card page, the W2 classification can be left blank. This functionality is different than the other box 12 codes that appear on the Additional Payroll Setup page. When the Earnings Subtype is Overtime or Doubletime, Sparkrock Impact automatically posts records to the Overtime Ledger page.
If there are additional payroll codes that you want to appear on the Overtime Ledger page, you can use the Overtime Ledger Code Setup action that appears on the Payroll Setup page.
The Overtime Ledger Code Setup action opens the Overtime Ledger Code Setup page where you can add the additional payroll codes.
To use this feature, you must also specify a value in the OT Premium Ledger W2 Box field on the Additional Payroll Setup page.
Tip
Tip:
You can access the Additional Payroll Setup page from the Payroll Setup page, which is available from Tell Me.
